The Artful Framer is a design-focused custom framing studio based in Malvern East, Melbourne, specialising in preservation framing for silk scarves — without stitching, stretching or adhesives.

Delicate silks are framed using specialist conservation methods that avoid tension or invasive techniques, preserving the integrity of the piece while allowing the textile to retain its natural flow and showcase details such as hand-rolled edges.

Bespoke framing is also offered for prints, canvas art, posters, textiles and 3D objects, using premium conservation materials and considered design to ensure every piece is carefully preserved and beautifully presented.

I'm Larissa, the creative heart behind The Artful Framer in Malvern East, Melbourne.
After many years working as a producer in the music and TV industries, I fell in love with the art of picture framing. I craft custom frames that complement and highlight each piece’s unique beauty, tailoring every detail to suit your style and budget—while using conservation methods to help preserve your artwork.
